Q: What is the difference between the Community Area and the Event Centre?
A: The Community Area, located in the southwest section of the facility, consists of an arena, round pen, small gathering area and restrooms. The Community Arena opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. daily. The arena is available for drop-in use only. Equestrian activities requiring special equipment (barrels, jumping poles, cones, mounted shooting, etc.) are not permitted. The Event Centre makes up the majority of the site. Q: Can a 501c3 nonprofit organization rent the facility?
A: Absolutely! A current copy of the IRS tax exemption letter is required. If qualified, some organizations may be eligible for a reduced rate.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes. A $200 reservation fee is required for each event rental date. The reservation fee is due at the time of reservation. A completed Facility Use Application must be submitted with the reservation fee. Receipt of the reservation fee does not guarantee application approval. If your event cannot be accommodated, the reservation fee will be refunded in full. The reservation fee is credited to the final bill. Fees are non-refundable if the renter cancels the reservation. All event fees must be paid in full within 30 days prior to the event.
Q: Can the facility be rented on multi-year contracts?
A: Multi-year contracts are negotiable. Terms depend on the size of the event and its impact on the Queen Creek economy. Commercial renters may reserve an available date up to 24 months in advance. Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Unless otherwise stated in the contract, any cancellation within six months of the event date will require full payment of the contract.
Q: Are incentives offered to groups that help bring in other events?
A: We do not offer this type of incentive at this time. However, we’ve found some scenarios where groups can rent the facility together and share amenities (such as the warm-up arena) to reduce costs. Please call 480-358-3793 for more information.

A: Yes. The required coverage amounts, additionally insured documentation and type of policy will be outlined in your Facility Use Application. The insurance policy document must be received at least 30 days prior to the event. Failure to comply with insurance requirements will result in forfeiture of the reserved dates and any/all fees paid.
Q: Is arena setup included in the arena rental fee? For example, are there fees to have the arena set up for roping?

A: The Town of Queen Creek holds a liquor license for Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre, and all alcohol is served through the park’s contracted concessionaire. Currently, beer is sold at most events. You may request an alcohol-free event.

A: All buildings at HPEC are considered smoke-free. Smoking is permitted outside the buildings in designated areas of the centre. Smoking is not permitted in the overflow parking lot.
