The Town of Queen Creek has an innovative textile recycling program. Blue textile bins have been placed throughout Town to collect clothing and shoes (that are not fit to be donated). These materials are recycled into home insulation.
Clothing and shoe, textile recycling bins are located at the Neighborhood Recycling Center on Ellsworth Road and Crewse Lane, or the Queen Creek Olive Mill and Boys and Girls Club of Queen Creek.
During the first two years of the program, over 32,00 pounds of material was collected and diverted from the landfill, resulting in a donation of $3,200 to the Queen Creek Boys and Gils Club.

Acceptable recycle materials include:
What happens to the textiles?
After sorting, weighing, and processing the bags of textiles, appropriate materials will be used to manufacture eco-friendly, 100% post-consumer home insulation, pet beds, punching bags and more. The benefits to our environment are truly exponential.
