The Town of Queen Creek allows certain types of businesses to be conducted within the home, without having to obtain commercial zoning. A home-based occupation is a business activity conducted as an accessory use to a dwelling unit and must comply with the performance standards set forth in the Queen Creek Zoning Ordinance. The application will be reviewed by the Planning Division and the Town Clerk's office prior to issuance of a business license.
Having a "Queen Creek" postal address does not necessarily mean that you live within the Town's incorporated boundaries. See the Town boundaries map. The incorporated boundaries for the Town of Queen Creek are separate and distinct from the US Postal Zip Codes that are designated as "Queen Creek."
If you are running a home-based business and live in the unincorporated Pinal County area, the Town cannot issue you a Queen Creek Home Occupation Business License. Check with Pinal County to see if the business "fits" the zoning requirements of the business location by contacting Pinal County at 520-866-6442.
