Provide Input on the Sonoqui Wash Trail Design

Post Date:01/18/2019 7:02 am

The Town of Queen Creek is in the early phase of design improvements along the Sonoqui Wash; design will Sonoqui Wash Trail Design(1)focus on safety, beautification and functionality. Residents are invited to a community meeting to provide input on the trail design. The meeting will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Desert Mountain Park near the Queen Creek Wash trail.

The Sonoqui Wash runs through the southern portion of Town. A trail along the wash is constructed from Power Road to Ellsworth Road, with plans to eventually continue the trail to the Town’s eastern border. The Sonoqui Wash trail is part of the Town’s future 11-mile loop that will connect the Queen Creek and Sonoqui washes. The wash trails provide a variety of recreation opportunities and a venue for alternative forms of transportation.
