Spring Registration Opens Feb. 4

Registration for the Town of Queen Creek’s spring session of recreation classes begins on Monday, Feb. 4 for Town residents and Monday, Feb. 11 for non-residents. You’ll find everything from fitness and dance classes to arts and crafts and preschool classes! 

Registration for all classes is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and is available at the Recreation Annex and online at QueenCreek.org/RecRegistration.

Queen Creek State of the Town Address – Feb. 20

Join the Queen Creek Town Council for the 2019 Annual State of the Town. The Town Council will share the Town’s 2018 accomplishments and upcoming projects on Wednesday, Feb. 20. The State of the Town will be presented during the Council meeting at 7 p.m. in the Community Chambers, 20727 E. Civic Parkway.


 

East Valley Entrepreneur Day 

East Valley Entrepreneur Day – Feb. 21

Have you ever thought about starting your own business? As part of East Valley Entrepreneur Week, Queen Creek will host an interactive workshop on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. in the Zane Grey Room at the Queen Creek Library. Topics will range from creating a business plan to taking a deep dive on data and demographics and entrepreneur success stories. Email Jennifer Lindley for more information.

It can be challenging to garden and landscape here in the Sonoran Desert. Find out what's popping in your Public Works Department on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m at the Queen Creek Library (Zane Grey Room, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road). The Transportation Advisory Committee invites you to enjoy free popcorn while receiving an update on roadway improvements as we work towards Better Roads Ahead!

Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre

This year marks Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre’s 10th Anniversary!

Over the span of 10 years, Horseshoe Park has hosted countless competitions such as roping, barrel racing, mounted shooters and many other exciting disciplines. This expansive 38-acre facility is set in a picturesque area of Queen Creek, capturing the unique spirit of our Town’s heritage. With youth and adult-focused competitions and events, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Don’t miss one of the biggest events of the year at Horseshoe Park. Tickets are on sale for Roots N’ Boots, March 14-17. Purchase tickets.

Bulk Trash Services

After you complete yard work, consider using your bulk pick-up collection.  This is a free monthly service with the Town of Queen Creek. Please never place yard waste in your blue recycling cart.  Remember to bag and tie all yard waste before placing it into your trash cart. Learn more.

Kindergarten Round-Up – Feb. 12

Calling all kindergarten students! On Tuesday, Feb. 12, the Queen Creek Unified School District will be hosting Kindergarten Round-Up at all elementary schools in the district. This event is a great opportunity for families to learn about the high-achieving QCUSD kindergarten program and class expectations as well as ask questions of teachers and staff.
