Queen Creek Fire & Medical Offers Free CPR & Stop the Bleed Classes this Saturday, Nov. 23

Post Date:11/21/2019 2:08 pm

Bystanders can play a critical role in an emergency situation, providing life-saving aid while first responders are en route. To increase the number of bystanders prepared to help in an emergency, the Queen Creek Fire & Medical department (QCFMD) is offering free CPR and Stop the Bleed classes this Saturday. Nov. 23.

The CPR class provides training on how to respond during cardiac arrest; immediate administration of CPR can save a life. Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call to action. The class provides training on how to quickly stop the loss of blood.

Registration is required for both classes, QueenCreek.org/CPR.

Both classes will be held at the Law Enforcement and Community Chambers Building, 20727 E. Civic Parkway. Registration is required – visit QueenCreek.org/CPR to reserve your spot, space is limited.

The three-hour, hands-on course is open to residents 13 years of age and older. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably. The certification is provided through American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI); the certificate is good for two years. Healthcare certifications will not be offered.

Please remember if you register for a spot and do not attend, that takes away from someone else in the community who could complete these important life-saving classes. If something comes up and you are unable to attend, let us know and we can open the spot for someone else to attend.
