Citizen Leadership Institute
Queen Creek residents invited to register for the Town’s annual Citizen Leadership Institute. The purpose of the institute is fourfold: (1) to present information about important questions facing the Town; (2) to provide an avenue for residents to help plan the community’s future; (3) to spark an interest in local issues; and (4) to develop a pool of informed residents who would be willing to serve as local leaders on boards, commissions and among their neighbors.

Class sessions feature guest speakers, group discussions and activities related to the topics. Participants also are expected to attend one Town Council meeting, one Committee or Commission meeting, participate in a class project and volunteer at a community event. Those who successfully complete the seminar series are recognized by the Town Council at a graduation ceremony, and their names are added to Queen Creek’s list for future committee appointments.
