Wayne Pirmann is Queen Creek’s MIGHTY KICKS Head Coach, and he is excited to use his experience and passion for soccer to impact and develop the young players of  Queen Creek. With the assistance of the proven Mighty Kicks Programs and Curriculum, Wayne and his coaching staff will help your children develop physically, mentally and socially through the game of soccer.

Wayne had a very successful career as a player growing up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and went on to play at Dartmouth College, an NCAA Division I program, where he played all four years. Interestingly, he placekicked for the 1970 Lambert Trophy winning Dartmouth football team and earned all Ivy and all New England honors.

Graduating from Dartmouth, Wayne immediately entered the coaching arena as a high school coach in Connecticut for two years, then moved to Michigan to teach and coach. His accomplishments as a coach and leader in Michigan span a career of over 40 years so programs that he founded in the 1970’s and 80’s are now thriving and established in Michigan: the State High School championships, Varsity High School soccer for Girls, and the Michigan Soccer Coaches Association, which oversees the All-State Selection Process. He has personally coached state championship teams at both the Boys High School (Oakland Christian School, Auburn Hills, MI) and MSYSA (Club soccer) levels. Wayne was also instrumental in founding and initially operating the Michigan premier program for youth, now known as the Michigan State Premier Soccer League, comparable to the Arizona equivalent.

Wayne’s last obligation in Michigan, before he and his wife moved to East Valley in the fall of 2015, was to organize and implement a soccer-introductory program for 3-6 years olds as part of his job responsibilities as a Director of Coaching. It was an outrageous success and Wayne was HOOKED on introducing soccer to little guys and girls.

Wayne is the managing partner of Mighty Kicks – East Valley,  and lives close by in San Tan Valley. He and East Valley’s top trainer, Ed Waller (Gilbert, AZ)  are committed to patience and kindness and high-quality character issues while introducing little kids to soccer basics and other athletic and physical fitness concepts. Wayne and Ed both love soccer, kids, and watching young people grow and develop in something that they are having fun with. He also enjoys educating parents along the way, explaining to them what is going on in terms of social, emotional, and physical development as the kids enjoy learning about soccer.
