Cheer & Tumbling

ActivStars Cheerleading (4-15 yrs)
Cheerleading classes feature fun and safety as students build skills preparing them for school tryouts. Students learn cheers, chants, jumps, pom-dance routines and age-appropriate stunts.

Tuesdays, 5 - 9 p.m.
1/22 - 5/21  *No class 3/19
*Class times run 45-60 minutes and vary depending upon age.

8*Count Dance

8*Count Dance is proud to bring quality dance training to Queen Creek! Classes are available for boys and girls of all ages in cheer, ballet, tap, jazz, and acrobatics Parent-tot classes are available for our preschool aged students. Dancers have performance opportunities in the recital in June. Advanced dancers are encouraged to participate in Ruby Dance Company for additional performance and competition opportunities (contact 8*Count Dance for more information).

Ballet Folklorico Ninos (4-8 yrs)
This class is offered for students at the beginning level of Folklorico with little or no experience. Students are taught the primary steps and technique of Ballet Folklorico, in relation to different regions of Mexico. Movements are repetitive to allow proper form and advancement.

Fees: Session 1: Residents $35; Non-Residents $45

Ballet Folklorico Intermediate (8-12 yrs)
For students who have less than one year dance experience.  Students are expected to have adequate body coordination, and should know basic Folklorico footwork patterns.  Students are taught more challenging dances at a faster pace than the beginner class.

Fees: $35 Residents; $45 Non-Residents

Ballet Folklorico Children's Company (8-12 yrs)
Students in this class learn difficult footwork combinations, complex choreographies, advanced performance character, and stage presence.  Students are expected to know the history and differences between Mexico’s many dance customs. Students are expected to have superior dance and performance ability, and are expected to travel and periodically attend extra rehearsals in preparation for performances.  Enrollment commitment is from August to June 2019. Tryouts are required to ensure proper class placement.

The Music Room: Infants & Toddlers (2 yrs and under)
Caregivers and little ones come together in a joyful, stimulating music experience that enhances bonding and cognitive development.  Songs and rhymes, tickles and wiggles, instruments, dance and more!

Music Stars (18 months-5 yrs)
This is a music and movement class for toddlers and preschoolers.  Our goal in this class is to teach the children how to love and enjoy the art of music.  We will practice singing, rhythm, and using a variety of instruments throughout the year to aid in learning songs and various musical elements like tempo.

  • Refunds will be given to cancellations received before the end of the registration period. Please expect 4-6 weeks to receive your refund.
  • Failure to attend a program or 'no shows' will not be granted a refund.
  • Requests for refunds must be given in writing.
  • All Convenience Fees paid for online transactions are non-refundable.
