Trunk or Treat will take place on Ellsworth Road (between Ocotillo and Rittenhouse.)

Join us in Town Center with all of your favorite activities taking place including carnival games, escape rooms, food vendors, pet costume contest, nerf wars and more!  Trunk or Treat provides a safe environment for families to enjoy an inexpensive evening of Halloween fun in a festival atmosphere!  Children trick-or-treat by going from car trunk on "Trunk or Treat Street" to get their bag filled with goodies.

CANDY DRIVE & VIP EXPERIENCE

VIP Experience - SOLD OUT

VIP Pass(1)

Enjoy Trunk or Treat with the VIP Experience. A limited number of VIP Experiences are available for purchase at the Recreation Annex from Sept. 10 – Oct. 12, or until supplies run out. Additional “no wait” Trunk Line wristbands can be purchased for $10 (maximum of two additional, must be purchased with VIP Experience).

The VIP Experience will include:

  • VIP Parking Pass (Qty: 1)

  • $20 in Carnival Tickets

  • “No Wait” Trunk Line Wristbands (Qty: 4) 

*Anyone (regardless of age) using the VIP Experience (front of the line access) is required to have a wristband. The package comes with four wristbands; two additional wristbands may be purchased for $10 each. Trunk or Treat Street is a free activity, open to everyone. The wristbands are only required for those families participating in the VIP Experience (front of the line access). If families choose to purchase the VIP Experience (front of the line access), a wristband is required for each person in the group (regardless of age).

Candy Drive

We need you! Thousands of pieces of candy are distributed on Trunk or Treat Street each year. In order to keep up with the growing demand of trick-or-treaters, the Recreation Division is holding a candy drive from Sept. 10 – Oct.  12. 

Starting Monday, Sept. 10, donate a bag of candy at the Recreation Annex (21802 S. Ellsworth Road) for your chance to win one of five "Grand Prize" Trunk or Treat VIP Experiences! Earn a raffle ticket for every one pound bag of unopened, individually wrapped candy donated. 

Winners will be drawn and contacted on Monday, Oct. 15 and recognized through social media.

CARNIVAL GAMES AND PLAY ZONE

Ghouls, goblins and ghosts of all ages will enjoy the bone chilling attractions brought to life at this year's event. 
*Nominal fees apply to all carnival games, train ride, and inflatable attractions.

The Town of Queen Creek is offering booth space for community groups, non-profit organizations and businesses to host carnival games at Trunk or Treat as a fundraising activity.  Interested groups and businesses must complete a carnival game application and provide all necessary items needed to operate their carnival game.

Tot Spot (ages 5 & Under)
The Tot Spot is a FREE area within the Trunk or Treat event specifically for those ages 5 and under. There will be two separate play areas: one for ages 0-2 and the other for ages 3-5. This area will include soft play equipment, bounce house and additional activities for the little ones.

Dino Discovery Zone*
Step into the Dino Discovery Zone and encounter a Raja (live tyrannosaurus rex), baby raptor puppets, dinosaur egg displays, and uncover a dinosaur bone or two!

ESCAPE ROOMS

Unlock the door to adventure!  Solve clues, puzzles and challenges to see if you have what it takes to escape before time runs out!

What Are Escape Games?
Escape Games are a brand new kind of entertainment experience designed for small groups of 2-10 people.  Your aim is simple: work hand-in hand as a team, explore your skills and wits to escape from a hidden room in less than 60 minutes*.
*The Trunk or Treat Escape Room Experience will be a mini version of an escape room designed to provide you an opportunity to see what the excitement is all about.

If you've watched and enjoyed movies like The Goonies, Indiana Jones, and Ocean's Eleven, you'll love the real-life adventure of an escape game.  These games put you and your friends in the driver's seat where you have to fin and solve clues, puzzles, and challenges to see if you have what it takes to meet your objective and escape before time runs out!

NERF BATTLE ZONE

Unleash your inner war-monger in the Trunk or Treat Nerf Battle Zone!  Players will be provided with a Nerf Blaster, safety gear, and placed on a team.  While in the battle zone, players will have access to unlimited ammo that is scattered around the battleground.  Games will be guided by a referee and teams are given an objective to complete in a 5-10 minute time period.  These games will be fast paced, adrenaline rushing challenges that the whole family can enjoy together!

PET COSTUME CONTEST

Pet owners are encouraged to get creative with their horse, canine and critters!  Free, on-site registration will take place at the event.  Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place in the following categories: horse, canine and critter.

All pets in the contest must be listed on a completed entry form and individuals under the age of 10 must have an adult or guardian as a lead line; judging decisions are final. Participants are reminded the contest will take place at an event with large crowds, loud noises and other animals.

TRICKS & TREATS IN TOWN CENTER

Trunk or Treat is coming to Town Center! Event attendees are encourages to visit participating businesses in Town Center to vote for their favorite store front AND trick or treat from business to business.

STORE FRONT DECORATING CONTEST:

  • Businesses must complete a registration form to participate. Only those who have properly registered will be allowed to participate at the event.
  • A $10 fee will be charged per registered business.
  • Registered businesses will be provided an authorized participation number pre-event. This number must be placed in a visible location.
  • Registered businesses will be listed on the event map that is distributed to event attendees to create awareness of their participation.
  • Registered businesses will be listed on the event website to promote their participation.
  • Registered businesses must have their store front decorated on or before 10/20/18. 
  • Voting forms will be provided to attendees on the day of the event and will be tallied post event.
  • The business receiving the most votes will be announces via social media and on the Town's website.

TRICK OR TREATING IN TOWN CENTER: 

  • Businesses must complete a registration form to participate. Only those who have properly registered will be allowed to participate at the event.
  • A $25 fee will be charged per registered business.
  • The Town of Queen Creek will provide candy to all participating businesses (limited quantity). Additional candy provided by businesses must be pre-packaged and inspected by Town Staff. 
  • Additional games and activities (e.g., spin wheel) in front of participating businesses is encouraged.
  • Registered businesses must be staffed on 10/20/2018 by 4:30 p.m. AND must remain open until the event ends at 9 p.m.
  • Registered businesses will be provided an authorized participation number pre-event. This number must be placed in a visible location.
  • Registered businesses will be listed on the event map that is distributed to event attendees to create awareness of their participation.
  • Registered businesses will be listed on the event website to promote their participation.

TRUNK OR TREAT STREET

Spend Halloween night on Queen Creek's very own "Trunk or Treat" street. Join in the spooktacular fun as children trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk to get their bags filled with goodies.

Community ghouls, business goblins and resident ghosts are encouraged to host a "trunk" at this year's event. Arrive donned in costume as you park alongside "Trunk or Treat" street to treat all who take dare to take the journey. For all the frightening details, download a trunk application and be sure to review the rules of the road. 

  • Trunk Application - Trunk Applications are now FULL. For information on participating in future events, contact Erica Perez at 480-358-3719 or erica.perez@queencreek.org.   

Rules of the Road:

  • Car owners must complete the attached form to participate. Only those who have properly registered their vehicles will be allowed to participate at the event. 
  • The Town of Queen Creek will distribute candy to all trunks. No outside candy will be permitted for safety reasons.
  • Additional games and activities (e.g., spin wheel) will NOT be permitted at participating trunks in an effort to keep the trunk line moving.
  • A $25 fee will be charged per registered trunk. A discounted rate is available for additional registered trunks. 
  • All trunks must be decorated and staffed by 4:00 p.m. Trunks arriving after 3:30 p.m. will not be able to participate. The event begins at 5 p.m. sharp.
  • Registered vehicles must stay at the event until the event ends at 9 p.m. For safety purposes, vehicles will not be allowed to leave until the event is over.
  • Vehicle owners must show proof of insurance with the vehicle application.
  • Registered vehicles will be provided an authorized trunk number upon check-in. This number must be placed in a visible location on your trunk.
  • Electricity will not be available for decorating your vehicle.

Volunteer
The success of Town community events is largely dependent upon the support we receive from our community volunteers. There is much to be done and we need your help! If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up for a time slot and the event coordinator will contact you with further details. Volunteers will be asked to commit to a four or five hour block of time. We will do our best to accommodate all volunteer requests. Volunteer and be part of the excitement at this fun community event!

Carnival Game Host
The Town of Queen Creek is offering booth space for community groups, non-profit organizations and businesses to host carnival games at Trunk or Treat as a fundraising activity.  Interested groups and businesses must complete a carnival game application and provide all necessary items needed to operate their carnival game.  Booths with promotional, commercial, informational, and/or retail products are not permitted.  The sale of concessions (food or beverages) is prohibited

Trunk Host
Trunk Hosts are our BIGGEST attraction of the Trunk or Treat event.  As a trunk host, groups/businesses bring out their vehicle, don their best costume, dress up their trunk and pass out candy to all in attendance.  The best part...the Town provides ALL the candy!  We highly encourage everyone to experience coming on board as a Trunk Host as this area provides the most exposure and is the most exciting area of the event.  If additional resources allow, we encourage hosting multiple trunks as we do have three separate trunk lines which provides additional exposure.
