SONOQUI WASH CHANNEL
CONSTRUCTION BEGINS: DECEMBER 2017
EXPECTED COMPLETION: SPRING 2018
The Sonoqui Wash channel will extend east from Ellsworth Road to the Crismon Road alignment.
The cultural resource evaluation and archaeological data recovery work has been completed for the project. This was necessary since the channel passes through the Pozos de Sonoqui archaeological site. During construction, an archaeologist is monitoring the wash excavation for the west half of the project.
Construction is currently taking place in the Sonoqui Wash to excavate the wash to better channel flows through the wash. Wash excavation is taking place in the Sonoqui Wash at Ellsworth Road, off the roadway, as part of this project.
No meetings currently scheduled.
