The Town is in the process of upgrading its utility equipment to increase communications and change out aging infrastructure. Older water meters and communication devices will be upgraded with new units, resulting in less equipment repairs, longer lasting and more accessible data.
The Town contracted Utiliuse to complete the replacements, which is occurring in two phases:
Phase 1: upgrading communication devices (MXU) and associated meters.
Phase 2: upgrading all remaining aged water meters.
Work will take place between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Water outages at specific locations are anticipated for 5-10 minutes, on average. Street signage will be placed in advance of the upgrades in your area along with door hangers prior to the work taking place. Utiliuse employees will knock immediately before water is shut off; employees will never need to enter the home.

Not all water meters and communication devices will need to be replaced. Due to the normal course of repair and replacement many water customers already have the upgraded devices.
