CURRENT STAGE: DESIGN
Scheduled Design Phase: 2019-2020
Scheduled Construction Phase: 2020-2021
This joint project with Pinal County consists of design and construction of various half street improvement segments and a full street width multi-barrel culvert crossing of Queen Creek Wash to include paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, drainage, traffic signals and street lights. Adjacent development will build the other half street as it occurs.
This project has been divided into the following phases:
Phase 1 – Queen Creek Wash Crossing and Temporary Road: This phase will expedite the completion of the ultimate Queen Creek Wash crossing of Meridian Road, and provide temporary pavement for a traffic connection between Combs Road and the existing roadway at Cherrywood Drive in Church Farms. This portion of the project will start construction near the end of 2019, and is scheduled for completion by Spring of 2020.
Phase 2 – Combs Road to Cherrywood Drive West Half Street: This phase will complete the western half street from Combs Road to the existing roadway at Cherrywood Drive in Church Farms. Future development will complete the other half street at a later date as it occures. This phase is projected to start construction Summer of 2020.
Phase 3 – Queen Creek Road to Germann Road West Half Street: This phase will complete western half street improvements from Queen Creek Road to Germann Road. A separate Town project will continue half street improvements from Germann Road to the future State Route 24. This phase is projected to start construction Fall of 2020.
