CURRENT STAGE: CONSTRUCTION
Anticipated construction phase: Late 2019 - Late 2020
The project consists of design and construction to widen Rittenhouse Road from the 213th Street alignment to Riggs Road. The project will provide two traffic lanes in each direction, median turn lanes at intersections and bike lanes. Construction will include the MCDOT designed replacement at Queen Creek Wash (TT430). Improvements will include roadway replacement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drainage, street lighting, and traffic signal upgrades.
CURRENT TRAFFIC IMPACT
Restrictions to remove medians and install temporary pavement on Rittenhouse Road from 213th Street to Riggs Road will begin the week of Jan. 6th.
The week of Jan. 13th, traffic will be pushed to the west to begin removal and construction of the east side of the roadway. Restrictions are anticipated for approximately six months. The speed limit will be reduced for worker and motorist safety. Periodic left turns may be restricted for safety.
Cloud Road will be closed at Rittenhouse Road from Jan. 13th to 24th for irrigation line installation.
Queen Creek Irrigation District (QCID) is nearly complete with the replacement of their 36” main line pipe, just north of the bridge. Construction staking and potholing continues on the northern project limits.
No meetings currently scheduled.
