PROJECT DESCRIPTION

5-lane Minor Arterial Street with four 11-foot wide travel lanes, 5-1/2-foot bike lanes, a 13’ TWLTL, and 6-foot wide detached sidewalks, curb and gutter.

CURRENT TRAFFIC IMPACT

None at this time.

STATUS UPDATE

60% design plans are currently under staff and utility review for relocation coordination and design.  Design will be proceeding to 90% stage through the fall.  Any identified additional easements and rights-of-way will be acquired through early spring.

The Town is scheduling the construction along Chandler Heights Road to occur in two phases.  This split staging will help reduce traffic impacts in the area due to other construction that will be occurring on Ocotillo Road between Sossaman and Hawes Roads on a similar schedule.  Chandler Heights Road east of Power Road will be constructed first with Chandler Heights Road west of Power and Power Road following in sequence.

MEETING SCHEDULE

A public open house to present the projects is scheduled for October 15, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Founders Room at the Queen Creek Historic Town Hall at 22350 S. Ellsworth Road.
