Trash and recycling services will be impacted by the holidays for residents in Zone 2 and 3:

  • Residents in Zone 2 will be delayed until Thursday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 2

  • Residents in Zone 3 will be delayed until Friday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Jan. 3

  • Bulk Trash- Residents in Zone 1 will be delayed until Thursday, Jan. 2

Residents will need to have their carts out by 6 a.m. on their scheduled day for service. As a reminder, bulk trash services can be scheduled online at

Queen Creek Holiday Festival & Parade


The 33rd Annual Queen Creek Holiday Festival and Parade was a successful community event with over 90 vendors, fun activities and the signature parade. Over 100 volunteers helped make the event an enjoyable experience for residents and visitors.

Mayor Gail Barney, Vice Mayor Julia Wheatley and Council members Craig Barnes, Robin Benning, Jeff Brown, Dawn Oliphant and Emilena Turley were in attendance.

Best Places to Work 

Mayor Gail Barney and Council member Jeff Brown attend the Phoenix Business Journal's Best Places to 2015 Work ceremony. Over 600 organizations submitted for the designation, and only 115 were recognized; the Town of Queen Creek was the only government entity to receive the designation.

RAD Ribbon Cutting Ceremony


Mayor Gail Barney attended Right Away Disposal's (RAD) ribbon cutting ceremony for their newest facility. RAD recently opened a new Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) that will help recycling efforts.


Gateway Polytechnic Academy Dedication Ceremony


Vice Mayor Julia Wheatley and Council member Robin Benning attended the Queen Creek Unified School District's dedication ceremony for the Gateway Polytechnic Academy.


East Valley Partnership Economic Forum


Mayor Gail Barney and Council member Jeff Brown attended the East Valley Partnership Economic Forum. EVP President and CEO Roc Arnett was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Excel Award for his leadership and commitment to the organization and the east valley.
