QC District Ribbon Cutting


Mayor Gail BarneyVice Mayor Dawn Oliphant and Council members Jeff Brown, Julia Wheatley and Craig Barnes attended the ribbon cutting for the QC District, a new development located on the southeast corner of Ellsworth and Rittenhouse.  

Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce Awards 















Mayor Gail BarneyVice Mayor Dawn Oliphant and Council members Jeff Brown and Julia Wheatley attended the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce annual awards ceremony. Congratulations to all of the award winners!

Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Groundbreaking 


Mayor Gail Barney attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. The North Apron Reconstruction Program will replace one million square feet of concrete (originally laid in 1941) and create over 100 jobs. 

Messy Fest 


Council member Emilena Turley attended Messy Fest, a new event celebrating all things messy! The event is sponsored by the Town of Queen Creek through the Festival Partnership Program.



Founders' Day   


Mayor Gail Barney, and Council members Craig BarnesRobin Benning, and Julia Wheatley attended the annual Founders' Day event. Congratulations to QC Fire and Medical who won the Battle of the Badge competition. 

Goodwill Tour


Mayor Gail Barney, Vice Mayor Dawn Oliphant, and Council member Craig Barnes participated in a tour of Goodwill.

Town Awards 


Mayor Gail Barney attended the Copper Anvil Awards hosted by the Public Relations Society of America - Phoenix Chapter. The Town received two awards for the Mid-Decade Census effort and an additional three awards from the City-County Communications and Marketing Association for the Better Roads Ahead campaign and the Town's Corporate Strategic Plan. Town Council also celebrated an award from the Arizona Association for Economic Development for the Town Center visioning website, 

DV Awareness - MAG


Mayor Gail Barney attended the Maricopa Association of Governments Regional Council meeting declaring October National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
